Athletics
There’s something for every athlete and fan at Freire Schools. From excelling in competition (PIAA/DIAA), to bonding with teammates, to showing off our Dragon pride, our athletes embody a commitment to breathing fire both on and off the field. Choose from basketball, track and field, cheer, soccer, and much more!

Through softball, I made friendships across grades and even with students from other campuses. It became like a second family. We’d hang out after games, talk about life, and support each other. Student Leadership Opportunities
From serving on student government, representing the school as a Student Ambassador, and leading clubs to mentoring peers, there are countless ways for students to step into leadership roles at Freire Schools. Our student leaders play a vital role in creating a vibrant school environment where everyone can thrive.
“I’m the head of student council, a student ambassador, and I help give school tours. I also manage several of our sports teams. Managing was where it all started—it gave me a name and showed people I was responsible. Touring gave me a space to connect with people, make parents laugh, and represent the school. Learning Beyond the Classroom
From paid internships through our Experienceship Program to student leadership opportunities, and hands-on projects, our students step beyond the classroom every day to apply their learning in meaningful ways. International trips to places like Costa Rica, France, and the Galapagos Islands further expand students’ perspectives and fuel a spirit of curiosity, discovery, and global learning.

Prom: A Night to Remember
After years of exciting student events, prom is a highly anticipated event for Freire students. Whether they’re dancing the night away, posing for photos, or enjoying a delicious dinner, prom offers a chance for students to let loose and revel in the joy of the culmination of their high school experience.
